What Summer Colours Are All About

Hello all!

So soon everyone is going to be off school/work and we're all going to be out places or on holiday, and one of the main things about Summer (i think) is the colours that come with it! You wouldn't see neon yellows in the middle of winter, so i thought i would give you a mini guide on what Summer Colours Are All About.

You can buy all of the above from
New Look, they offer a wide
range of white coloured products.

"WHITE" I think this is one of the most used colours in Summer. People tend to use it on there clothes or shoes, and one reason why people wear it so much is because it goes with almost anything. I'm sure you have at least one white item of clothing that is white! It is such a practical colour, and for summer we all tend to go for the easier option. Lastly, another reason it is a popular colour is because it reflects the sun, so compared to a black piece of clothing it's like an angel!

(Bottom Left) Cath Kidston.
"BABY BLUE" This may be my all time favorite summer colour. I just think it looks so pretty with anything on anyone! It's just so perfect, since I've loved it from a young age (as my favorite colour) my love for it has grown more and more! My hypothesis is people like you and me wear baby blue colours because it reminds us of the sea and the clear blue sky. It naturally just `goes' with summer, so i would recommended this summer to ANYONE! (I love all of the pieces of clothing to the right!) And (call me EinsteinI've been doing my research and i found out that: the colour blue (mostly baby blue) causes the opposite reaction to the colour red -  "Peaceful, tranquil blue causes the body to produce calming chemicals, so it is often used in bedrooms." "CORAL" I would say that this colour is just...gorgeous. It brings a warm feeling with it and in summer, it fits like a glove! My favorite way to wear coral is nail polishes or lipsticks. The colour looks so nice as makeup and i have no idea why, it looks so natural but still has a hint of something different. Since summer is about wearing natural things, i think this fits so well and whenever i see it in a store or on someone i am immediately attracted to it, i would say to anyone that this is an ideal colour for summer, basically a summer must have! (It reminds me of a kind of peachy colour.)

Nail Paint - Barry M, Dress - ASOS,
Jumper - Boohoo.
"NEON COLOURS" I don't know about you but whenever i see a vibrant: orange, purple, pink, green, lime, I suddenly feel so happy and hyper! It just makes me feel elated. I couldn't just choose one neon colour because i love them all equally, and whenever there's one neon colour there is usually one near by. I also like the fact that they go with things so well! You can just wear a neon green top with white shorts and it may sound simple but it looks so good! I love all of the colours that come with this set, they're just so bright and are definitely something i need to invest in this summer. Personally i think we need to see more of these kind of colours in shops, they deserve it!

So i hope you liked this little fact file on some of my favorite summer colours and what their all about! I also love pastel colours (who doesn't) but i felt like they were maybe too vague, but we all know about pastel colours and also they are going viral this summer, so go check them out!

Beauty Products I Regret Buying - 2014 -

Hello All and I'm here again with another post!

So I've been really busy recently, probably because of back to school and all, but I'll soon be off again, so I shouldn't complain.

This is a post i really want to do, because I have a few little things that I really shouldn't have gotten...So here they are (By the way, I'm trying to get pictures for my posts now) :

My first is "The Body Shop, Super Volume Mascara in Black." There are so many reasons why this mascara isn't the best, so let's get started. First things first is that it's super flaky (it makes my eye's water thinking about it!) After applying it within 5-10 minutes it's in your eyes. The second fault is that it doesn't really add that much of a dramatic effect, if you were to compare it to the "MUA Mega Volume Mascara" then you would be surprised by the difference.

After questioning my self several times, I decided i should include this one. I'm afraid it's another body shop product and that is the "All-In-One Cheek Contour Shade: Ginger." It really is a lovely colour, but when you want to apply it to your face, it seems that the shade itself isn't that strong, therefore you get no real colour. But if you were to use a bigger brush to apply it, then it seems to go TOO strong (this is all depending on the kind of brush hairs they are.) I would suggest buying a stronger colour from the body shop, but use a soft brush.

I recently bought the "Natural Collection, CoverUp Stick In Shade Fair." So one of the things that let me down about this product was that it didn't come in many shades ( 2 - Fair or Medium) so i couldn't find the right colour for my skin. I also found that it doesn't blend in well with your skin and can look quite powdery where you've put it. At first sight though, the product looked good and considering the price...extra good! But once i'd used it once or twice i started to realize it wasn't that good. I love a lot of the Natural Collection products but this one just isn't for me but that's fine, it's all trial and error.

Another recently product that hasn't lived up to my expectations is the "Forever Yours, Eau De Toilette." Even though the appearance of this fragrance looked nice (and so did the price tag) it didn't make up for what was inside. When i first sprayed it i smelt it and because it contains a lot of alcohol that went straight up my nose! Thats wasn't pleasant at all, but i still thought `well i can live with that`, but the thing is as an Eau De Toilette you expect it to last long, but it doesn't, and i guess that's what disappointed me about it.

Well i hope you enjoyed this, overall i don't have many products that i regret buying, and i guess these are the lucky few that i DO! So i hope you found this helpful and you'll know which products to watch out for!

DIY: Healthy Yogurt Pot

Hello all!

So I am now officially relieved of (nearly) all stress as I've just finished doing my mid-year exams in school! On that theme, you need a good snack/breakfast that's going to keep you going for exams (or just a school/work day) so this is perfect for that. Me and my family have loved this recipe for years, so i thought i would share it with you!

Ingredients:
  • A medium sized plastic cup/normal mug.
  • 2 Digestive biscuits (optional)
  • Vanilla yogurt.
  • Some form of Granola or crunch.
  • Chopped Up Banana, Apple, Kiwi, Peach or any kind of fruits you like
Method:
  1. Firstly, you want to get your empty cup and get your 2 digestive biscuits and crush them up into small pieces (you can do this on a separate bowl/plate) and place them into the bottom of the cup.
  2. Next you want to get the fruit of your choice and make sure its cut up into small chunks so it can fit in the cup. If it comes with any syrup/juice make sure that, that doesn't go into the cup as it can put off the taste of the yogurt and the other fruits.
  3. After when you've put the fruits in, you then want to add the yogurt! Bearing in mind that the yogurt doesn't have to be vanilla, you can be creative about it! You want to add about 3-4 teaspoons of this, but that all depends on what type of mug you have.
  4. So now just to top it all off you want to get a handful of the crunch/granola and sprinkle it on top. You could put more on it and make it an extra layer, but i prefer to just add a little crunch to it. The crunch can contain: seeds, dried fruit, nuts etc...
So that's it! That's all you have to do to get a quick, yummy snack! It perfect for summer too and if your dieting!

So i hope you found this recipe helpful and use it sometime in the summer, i know I've done another post on a Friday, but i've got a really busy weekend...Enough about me though, enjoy this recipe!!

My April Favorites | 2014

Hello all!

April has been a busy month for me, with the product's ive used, and my school life. In these favorites i have a mix of different things that i've been using, so I'll get right to it! I know I've done this post early, but i thought i might as well have done because i'd already done. So my posts will either be on Friday Nights or Midday Saturday. :)

My first product that I've been loving is the "Dr Balm, Sweet Kiss SOS, Miss Sports, With Royal Jelly." This is such a good lip balm, and i find you don't have to keep on applying it to your lips every few minutes because it keeps them hydrated for a good amount of time! It has no particular smell to it, so maybe that could be an improvement. But for now, it's one of the best lip balms I've used! ( You can get them in to other colours, which i may or may not be purchasing soon.) Still on the subject on lip products, I've been obsessed over "Baby Lips Cherry Me." Unlike the Dr Balm, this has more of a colour to it and it smells delicious. Whenever i put it on my lips i can just taste cherry's! Even though the scent doesn't last forever, it's still adds a lush colour, which is a gorgeous red.

Now onto something quite different to that, I find that the "Hand Food" by Soap & Glory, is the best hand cream...ever! Some hand creams can have a mouth-watering scent, but can be really bad at doing the actual job that it says on the package, but this doesn't do that, and that's why i love it so much! I love all soap and glory products, but since this was the first thing i purchased from there, i feel like it has a well deserved place in my heart!

I've also recently been into a well known TV show, which is "Miranda." It is absolutely hilarious and is a great laugh. I have series 1 & 2 on DVD, and i just popped it on my TV and i was suddenly hooked, I'm definitely going to be buying series 3 and any up-coming
series's, i would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves some humor!

Even though I've already read this book, I still remember it so well. Just like everyone else who has read it, it is an amazing heart-warming story, which is "The Fault In Our Stars." I love this book to bits, and I was so glad when i bought it, and when i read it is was just the icing on the cake! Of course i cried a little, but all within reason, I may write to John Green asking for a sequel. I can't wait for the movie to come out too, now that's a must have.

Lastly, I have been in love with cute little note pads. I am such an organised person and i love everything to be in the right order, and to be planned out, so getting notepads/planners are a great way for me to do so. I have had loads of different notepads, but the one I've been using recently has a really cute design on it and has is quite thick too. It was also cheap too, but because i got it from a local shop I'll link a notepad that looks like it!

I hope you liked this April Favorites and i'm going to be trying to add more pictures to my post but this is my first post...with pictures! If you liked any of the things i talked about then i've put all of them below!

HowTo: 3 Easy Summer Hairstyles

Hello all!

I've had a past few busy weeks, so it feels good to have a nice rest.
So thinking of resting, don't we all want an easy go to hairstyle before we go out, well I've got a few ideas, just for that!

This is more of a wavy/beachy approach to it.
Hairstyle 1: High Ponytail - This is the key to summer hair, as it's so easy to do. Literally, it can be done within minutes. Now your probably thinking, why would i need some random person telling me how to put my hair up into a ponytail, but I've got a little bit of detail to add on.
The Ponytail is an amazing, quick and simple hairstyle. All you have to do to do it is gather all of your hair up into one handful on the back of your hair, then get a bobble and put it in. To add a more dramatic effect to it, all you have to do is loosen the ponytail and push it higher up the back of your head. If you have quite flat hair like me then i suggest you get a comb/brush and just backcomb the hair in the ponytail. This will help to make it look bigger and bolder.
This is a great example of
loosening the plait up.

Hairstyle 2: Side Plait - I love this hairstyle, as it takes seconds and still looks lovely! All you have to do it brush all of you hair to the left or right shoulder. When it's there split it into 3 equal parts and cross them over - here's a turtorial on how to do them if you don't know how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UyB9XigBXM.  When you've finished, tie it together tightly with a bobble then start to just loosen up the plait by just pulling it out a little, but not so much that it comes out.

To finish the look all you
have to do is grip where
the arrows are.... back!
Hairstyle 3: The Off Sides - I wasn't sure what to call this one, so if you know please tell me! Anyway, this hairstyle is super easy and is good for if your going out in a rush. Firstly brush you hair and try and make both sides of your hair as equal as possible. Then you want to grab a small section out of one of the sides (from the front) and then twist it around, you don't have to go till the end, you only have to go up to the place where you'll put the clip/grip. Next, grip that in tightly because you want that twist to stay in and do the same with the other side. If you want to you can make it look more "boho" themed by puffing up the little space above where the twist of hair is!

Okay, so i hope you found these helpful/useful. I find when it comes to summer, i use these hairstyles a lot.

QOTW: What's your "go to" summer hairstyle? The above hairstyles are basically what I live off in Summer.
