New Year Makeup Tutorial

Hello all!! Another Christmas has passed by too fast, and now New Year is only round the corner, therefore I'm going to be showing you a New Year makeup tutorial, this could be for the Eve or the day, for a party or for home: it's up to you! B
y the way...I had a great Christmas, and I hope you did too, I am so grateful for everything I got, because I was SO spoilt this year!

Now onto the tutorial, firstly you want to start the base off. I used two products for this, but if you want something that is faster, then use a BB cream. So all you have to do is get a foundation and a cream (I chose a Full Cream Moogoo moisturizer and a Rimmel Stay Matte in Ivory foundation).

Then just apply that to the whole of your face, I prefer to use my hands, but you can use a foundation brush if you want,

Next, I use my MUA Cover & conceal to cover up my dark under eye circles and any breakouts in my skin.

Personally, I don't use much eye-shadow, because as a teenager I look for something quick to do, most of the time (or that just might be me.) Anyway, i sued this Hanorah set, but all you need is a dark and light colour, like the ones to the left. You just want to get the lighter colour and apply it on your eyelid, then just get a tiny bit of the darker shade and blend it in. Then if you want, you can use a brush and put the brown colour into your crease.
If you want, you can get a shimmery dark eye-shadow and just pat it over your eyes, to add a bit more to it!

For mascara, I only wanted something that wouldn't add too much volume; I used my Maybelline New York- the Colossal Go Extreme! Volum' Mascara, and only did it a tiny bit!

Now I added a bit of colour to my cheeks, I recommended using a peachy kind of colour, because if you haven't noticed this is quite a natural tutorial. I used the Body Shop blush, but any work great!

To finish off the look, you can use a dark, maybe almond coloured lip product, just to balance out the makeup.

I hope you liked reading through this, and sorry for the in-activity of my posts, I've been spending a lot of time with my family, and you had better too! But,,,now I'm back, and I have loads of really fun posts ready for 2015, so remeber to follow me on bloglovin or join my blog (it's on the right hand side bar.)

I wish you all a healthy and happy 2015: let's make it a great one!

Christmas Countdown / Last Minute Parent Present Ideas

Hello! I have another post, which is part of the `Christmas Countdown` and I thought I would do something themed round a topic that would probably help me...a lot! I'll be sharing with you, my recommended gifts for the family, if you only have a few days to get them.

MUM:
I find shopping for my mum is probably the hardest, she never really minds what she gets, but it depends on you mum, mines quite relaxed in the receiving presents category, luckily for me, I know her well, so I'm going to be giving you a brief idea on what they will love (whatever the gift it is, everyone and anyone will love it, so don't worry!)

CATH KIDSTON: http://www.cathkidston.com/
My mum loves all the shabby chic products that Cath Kidston has to offer, either for decorating the house or she adores the bags, like: http://www.cathkidston.com/cross-body-bags/button-spot--and--mews-ditsy-reversible-folded-messenger-bag-1013608!

CLARINS: http://www.clarins.co.uk/face-moisturisers/220/
Me and my mum obsess over the thrill of `Clarins.` It may be expensive, but the quality of these moisturizers is top notch, and they are perfect for that mum who likes the EXTRA treat on Christmas day!

DAD:
Now onto dads, which, in my opinion, are much harder to shop for! I get my dad the same things every year, but I was thinking about what a man really likes, and what they're low on most of the time, so that's what I'll be sharing with you.

SOCKS: Topman, Jack Wills etc.
I find my dad is always at the bottom of the draw looking for socks, so this present is a great one! This may not apply to all, but this is almost a must have for men, and can sometimes be forgotten!

SKINCARE: http://www.clinique.co.uk/products/13692/Mens/moisturise-and-protect or for something a bit cheaper http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/vitamin-e.aspx#/vitamin-e.aspx
My dad is always stealing my mums moisturizing products, because some men like to look after their skin too!

This brings me to my last post BEFORE Christmas, so I hope you all have a fabulous, and I'll probably not post till after boxing day, then I have somethings planned for New Year!!

Christmas Countdown / The Christmas Playlist

Hello, in today's post I'm going to be writing about something that I've never really done about, which is music, and you probably didn't know it's actually quite a big part in my life. I play two instruments, I have taken GCSE music and I am listening to music constantly through Youtube and spotify and others. Anyway, back to the post, I'll be sharing with you some thing's that have been in my playlist this winter.

(I'm doing a Christmas Countdown - shorter posts, therefore more posts, it's my little Christmas series!!)

First of all it's "MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS - FROOT". This isn't a particularly Wintery song, but I'm still listening to it, because I've just found out about it and I've been obsessed. It has quite a `funk` feel to it, and I guess that's what really appeals to me, and how amazing Marina is, she is so uniquely fabulous. ALSO...her new single "HAPPY" is more tranquil and relaxing, and I listen to this one frequently too.

Next it's "THE PRETTY RECKLESS". A lot of people wouldn't assume that I listen to this kind of music, but I do, and I'm guilty of liking it! I particularly love the songs: House on a hill and Heaven knows, you never know, you could like this amazing band too. There songs have quite a rock theme, that I thought I would never be interested in, but I love the way that these songs are put together and the instruments that are used! PLUS: Anyone recognize `Jenny` from Gossip Girl!?!??

I can be a fan girl when I want to, and "5SOS" (5 Seconds Of Summer) are no exception. They prefer to state themselves as a band, not a boy-band, because being a band means that you write your own songs, which they do, plus they play guitar, bass and have a drummer, and can all sing. The songs: Don't Stop, Good Girls, Long Way Home and all their acoustics are my favorites. Their cover of "What I Like About You" is one you must listen to!

I've found out that recently I love songs which have acoustics, or you can really hear the depth of the song. All of the above definitely tick that box. I'm really interested in 5SOS' new live album, where everything is recorded from live shows. These things appeals to me ; you can actual here the singers and you get to know the band or singer better, if you've heard them live: they actually can sing it's not just auto tune put on it.

I hope you enjoyed reading my different post, of course I listen to more music, but this post would be endless if I dragged on about all of the songs I listened too!

December Favorites 2014

Hello!Today I'm doing a December Favorites post, since the last one I did was last June or July! I've decided to only do a few in this post because I can blab on and it can end up doing a massive post, which takes about 10 minutes to read!

TV & MOVIES
Round September, as you know, TV shows start again, so I've been watching loads of new seasons/TV programs and movies!
My movie favorite is the Hunger Games Mockingjay. Since I recently went and watched it, I was impressed, even though before I'd watched it, people were giving it lots of negative feedback, I didn't see anything wrong with it! It has definitely lived up to the books.

The program I've been watching is American Horror Story, weirdly enough! I started watching this on netflix since my friend was recommending it to me, and I found out it actually has good story's to them all. I love it how each season has a different theme: Haunted house, Asylum, Coven(the one I haven't watched) and Freak Show (this one is on TV now.)

MAKEUP
In the picture above, you can see that one of the products there is the Maybelline New York, the Colossal Go Extreme! Leather Black. I recently got this one, and even though it isn't the most noticeable difference to a normal mascara it does add quite a bit more darkness to it.

Next is my old-new favorite which is a Calvin Klein lip stain in Red. This is definitely something I wouldn't go for usually, but I've became fond of the colour and this Winter I've been enjoying wearing it.

Lastly, I have something which I've previously mentioned which is the Maybelline 24 Hours Colour Tattoo 70- Metallic Pomegranate. This is a good base for any eye makeup, and suits this time of the year too.

FASHION
I have just one clothing favorite and that is my over used snood from New Look, and I have no idea when I got it (sometime round last Christmas) and have loved wearing it since it's been getting colder.

READING
Now onto the last section which is reading. I got an Elle magazine for my media coursework and have actually enjoyed reading it lots. I haven't ditched my glamour magazine for this yet, but it's a good read, and ticks all the boxes!

This is the end of another post, and I hope you liked reading through this shortened version of my December Favorites, and I will try to do one of these every month!

Social Saturday #2 - Being Happy!

Hello all and welcome to my second Social Saturday! Today, I wanted to talk about something that is the complete opposite to what I talked about last time. It's about being...HAPPY!!!

The first thing to do is surrounded people who don't make you feel depressed or negatively about things. I didn't do this and I became extremely moody and upset about a lot of things, I realized what was happening (after some advice from my parents) and changed it. I've defiantly
noticed a difference.

Next you want to make sure your eating a balanced diet. If you don't have enough healthy and fresh food then you won't feel good about yourself. You need to make sure you have a balance of all food, and less of chocolates and sweets. AND, if you're unhappy with you weight or un-healthy skin, then this will help you feel better in your body, therefore making you happy.

In this post, I've just given you a couple of little tips on making yourself happy! I just want to clarify that I am in no way shape or form a professional person who gives advice, I'm just a teenager giving some advice, it's your choice whether you want to take it or not!

Talk To You Soon...

Little Bit Of A Haul | The Body Shop

Hello all and it's been a while since I've done a haul...IT WAS LAST SUMMER! I was gathering ideas in my little head for my next blog post, and It's that time for a haul (am i right?), but I've only bought a few essentials between August and December (lets call it me saving money), then I remembered that a body shop consultant lives round the corner from me and is having a sale. My official detox was over. I hope you like me sharing all of my amazing products I bought!

The first thing(s) that caught my eye was a small set of three. I got the `Vineyard Peach: Body Butter, Body Mist and Shower Gel` and even though I have way too many of these things, I couldn't resist the allure of this amazing scent! I am almost addicted to Body Shop body butters (I have the Vitamin C, Coconut, Strawberry and Vineyard Peach one) and they never let me down, so if you're wondering where to get quality body butters/creams get one from The Body Shop!

The next thing that I bought was a more of an essential/back up/refill???!!?!? I'm talking about the `Vitamin E, Cool BB Cream`. I'm not that sure if it comes in other types of colours but I just got it in Glowing Shade. I'm sure I've raved about this before, but It's just an overall great product!

Now I don't know why I bought ANOTHER eye shadow brush. I'm questioning it right now because I already have two of these, but you never know. My mum once said that you can use them for different types of shades of eye shadow, and it never hurts having back-ups.

Now onto something completely different, I bought this super lovely Plum Lip Gloss.  I also have the watermelon one, which is much more summery, so why not vary my different scents and get a more Wintery one? It still has a burst of flavour in it but the whole feel towards the scent makes it feel like its for the colder times.

Lastly, I purchased something that I've previously mentioned in a post, but not in a positive way, more of products that I've regretted buying? I'm giving the `Body Shop Mascara, Super Volume` another chance. Maybe it was just the time that I used it, or something like that.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading through my Little Body Shop Haul right here, and I'm hopefully going to be starting my Christmas lead up soon!!!!!

Talk To You Soon...
