DIY: Homemade Yogurt

Hello all!

I like to vary what i have on my blog, so i thought why not share some recipes that i know with you! It's a recipe that me and my mum found out about, and we've been using it non-stop.

This is a really easy recipe too, so all you need is:

  • 250ml of plain yogurt (per 1litre of milk)
  • A litre of milk (you can have as much as you want)
Method:
  1. Get a saucepan and put it on the hob of your oven and put the milk you want into it.
  2. Then boil the milk until its bath temperature (so you can put your hand in it without it burning.) If it is still on the hob and it is hot, then just leave it to cool until its bath temperature.
  3. Then add the yogurt and just mix it in!
  4. Next, you want to put it into a fixed jug/container and place it near a warm object (radiator.)
  5. Lastly you want to leave it for 10-12 hours in a fridge this will make the yogurt (if it curdles a little, then just mix it with a spoon and it'll be fine.)
TOP TIP: This recipe only makes plain yogurt but if you'd like a different flavor then when you have the yogurt, add some jam to it. This can be strawberry/raspberry jam. But make sure you add a fair amount in as a little bit doesn't add that much flavoring to the yogurt.

I hope you found this recipe helpful and you try it yourself as it's really easy!

Talk you you soon...

Charlie ♥
