March Favorites | 2015

Hello all! Welcome to my first ever March Favorites! The last time i did a monthly favorites was ages ago so I'm trying to do one of these every month, because I always enjoy reading what a persons been enjoying that month and I also like writing them, so its a "Win, Win" situation. So im going to get straight into it!

My first favorite is the RIMMEL LONDON  LASTING FINISH LIPSTICK IN 016 - HEARTBREAKER. I never thought I would love a lipstick this much, until I found this! Some lipsticks, I adore the colour, but the smell is just :(, so when I bought this, I was expecting another one of them, `ow yeh, that lipstick, I have to have a flavored lip-gloss over the top to distract the taste of it!` but (thank god) it wasn't! It has a cherry scent, which is so delicious (but I suggest you don't eat it.) Also the scent magically matches the colour, which (if you like red lipsticks) is a darker alternative for the "reds."

My second favorite is something that I don't usually use, which is nail polish, it's the NAILS INC 493 - GEORGE STREET. So, since the two weeks break is coming up, I think it is ideal that I wear nail polish, since I can't at school, and this colour is quite basic, cute but one of them `simple but effective` colours and nail inc speaks for itself as one of the best polish brands..ever!

Now onto TV programs. So things really haven't changed much (still obsessed with The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, American Horror Story and Modern Family) but a recent addition has kind of, took over my life: CATFISH THE TV SHOW. I'm having that stage in my life where I start the guilty tv pleasure and this is one of them. If you don't know what `Catfish` is then it's where these two men track down over internet relationships where one finds the truth about their other half. I love it when it works out, good times.

The next thing that I have been using non-stop this month is THE REAL TECHNIQUES SCULPTING BRUSH. Im not one of those people who like to spend lots of money on brushes, but when I have the time to, you've kind of got to! I just use this brush to blend in any powder I use (its great for that.)

Now onto the last thing, which is my CATH KIDSTON FOLDERS. I have four of these lovely things and I find their great for everything: cousework, assessments, revision notes- you name it.

I hope you enjoyed having a read through my post and remember to follow me on bloglovin (all links are below) and 'Ill see you soon!

5 Hacks You Need To Know | 1 - Food |

Hello all! So I feel like my recent addiction to Pinterest has made me more wary of the `hacks` of life. Whether that be for food, makeup or decorating, my life has became so much clearer! On that topic, I thought I would share with you "5 food hacks" because I always find that these food ones, have actually been used by me a lot, and may be by you. Food is one of the main things we need to survive, and the human race that we are, we have found ways to `cut corners` on even the most vital
things in out lives. So we might as well make the most of it!
  1. Wrap the top of you bananas with cling film (or tin foil) so they can last up to four or five days longer!
  2. Having chewing gum while peeling an onion, may stop you from crying. If that doesn't work then place you chopping board on the hob under the extractor and peel the onion!
  3. Put ice cream in a plastic bag before you put it in the freezer and it will stay soft, whenever you decide to take it out!
  4. I've used this one before, and I was amazed (easily impressed), but you can only really use it for smaller oranges or mandarins.
  5. Lastly, I had to include this one, even though it is a naughty treat, I feel obliged to put it on here, for all you people who are into these yummy treats!
I hope you enjoyed having a quick read through some nice and easy food hacks  and I will hopefully be doing another one of these `hacks` posts!

Social Saturday #3 - Motivation | March

Hello! Today I noticed it's been about three weeks since I last did one of these, and even longer since a Friday Favorite (which will be coming soon), so whilst it was on my mind, I thought I'd start typing away at my laptop at a topic that can be quite hard to get to grips with. Motivation.
I am constantly using this thing called `motivation`, whether that be for going out and taking my dogs on a walk or reading a book. The ways to motivate yourself are endless, but sometimes can't be found when needed. "Should I eat a slice of that cake or an apple?" Your probably thinking whats that got to do with anything? Well you've got to MOTIVATE yourself to eat healthy and not let your inner greed take control.

You get the hint now, but maybe don't have any idea on how to get motivation, well...
  • Think about the result - Whenever I think about doing revision, this is a great theory to think about. Revision for a test = pass = better GCSE grades. This could apply to any kind of test.
  • Set yourself a goal at a time, if you set too many it will sap energy and motivation because you cannot maintain energy and focus if you are trying to accomplish two things at once. Just think, when you've finished the goal your doing now, you can do the other one after (more motivation!)
  • Tell your friends - If you speak publicly about it, you don't want to get embarrassed by not doing the thing you've just told your friends, so you almost feel obliged to do it!
So I hope you enjoyed having a quick read through this, and know for the next time on how to get that extra bit of motivation!

I Had A Break? | March Update

Hello all! So you probably haven't thought for longer than a second about what I've been doing whereas I have almost nothing else on my mind apart from what I'm doing. I am not usually the type of person to leave things and not talk about them, but I almost feel as that's what I've done with this blog, which I feel bad and lazy about! The thing is though, I haven't just been lounging about at my house and doing nothing, I have been busy...and bad at planning.

I had a mock exam in January, I have now got tons of homework and coursework to do on that topic. Also I am working towards my grade 1 piano which is next month. I have also had lots of homework from my other lessons because I am doing my GCSE, which comes at no surprise that I have this amount of homework and the weekends have been even more hectic with going out with my friends and playing squash and doing tournaments, so you can understand my dilemma: I have my blog on one hand which I thoroughly enjoy blogging on and then on the other I have school, social & sport, so right now I think I've finally balanced it!

Its taken me a while to come to terms that I can't do everything all at once, at New Year I tried to pile way too many things on my shoulders than I should off and then I had the aftermath of feeling poop about it all, and now I'm back blogging again. So I am to have a post up once every week, and sometimes two dependent on how busy I am. I hope to get it up on a Saturday, but it could be a Sunday or Friday too.

Thank you for all the people who are still following me and reading my posts, and more is to come soon!
