Social Saturday #3 - Motivation | March

Hello! Today I noticed it's been about three weeks since I last did one of these, and even longer since a Friday Favorite (which will be coming soon), so whilst it was on my mind, I thought I'd start typing away at my laptop at a topic that can be quite hard to get to grips with. Motivation.
I am constantly using this thing called `motivation`, whether that be for going out and taking my dogs on a walk or reading a book. The ways to motivate yourself are endless, but sometimes can't be found when needed. "Should I eat a slice of that cake or an apple?" Your probably thinking whats that got to do with anything? Well you've got to MOTIVATE yourself to eat healthy and not let your inner greed take control.

You get the hint now, but maybe don't have any idea on how to get motivation, well...
  • Think about the result - Whenever I think about doing revision, this is a great theory to think about. Revision for a test = pass = better GCSE grades. This could apply to any kind of test.
  • Set yourself a goal at a time, if you set too many it will sap energy and motivation because you cannot maintain energy and focus if you are trying to accomplish two things at once. Just think, when you've finished the goal your doing now, you can do the other one after (more motivation!)
  • Tell your friends - If you speak publicly about it, you don't want to get embarrassed by not doing the thing you've just told your friends, so you almost feel obliged to do it!
So I hope you enjoyed having a quick read through this, and know for the next time on how to get that extra bit of motivation!
