It's Beginning To Smell A Lot Like...Winter!

Hello all and I'm back with another Friday post! I would like to apologize for this week and last weeks muddle up, I posted the Wednesday post on Thursday and didn't have enough time to post my Friday Favorite post! SORRY!!!!!! But...I have this post to make up for it. I am posting this on Friday because I have had so many tests etc, so it's better than no post!

Today I'm going to be sharing with you a scent that represents Winter to me. Should I do one of these for each season? I think so. On with the post...

I have chosen to write about the `Britney Spears Fantasy` and if you've never smelt it, then trust me, your missing out!

This perfume reminds me of Christmas time/when it's getting a little colder because I was actually gifted this last Christmas, and if you don't already know, if something is worth a great deal to me then i like to savor it for as long as possible!

The appearance of it is really cute too, and I think that's what really stood out to me in the first place. It also has a Christmas theme to it, I don't know if it's supposed to, but it just adds that extra Wintery feel!

This is where you can get it: http://www.superdrug.com/Britney/Britney-Spears-Fantasy-EDP-30ml/p/602391#.VHdlE4usU-A

What a short post hey! But I hope you enjoyed this post, and sorry for this weeks mix up!

My November Wishlist | 2014

Hello all and welcome to my Wednesday post! Today's post is my wishlist for November, and i may try to do one of these each month, since there is always something that i like/catches my eye when i'm out and about, so i'll get right to it.

I just want this bag. A goal of mine is to save up and buy one of these shoulder bags, because I love them! They have so many bags I like at New Look, but this one stood out to me because it had two different types of handles and plus I think the colours are just so simple, but it still looks grown up. It has so much space inside, and I always find that I NEED lots of room (I always carry loads with me!)

Of course, one of the things had to be books. I love a good read, and from what I heard, this book is apparently really good. Personally I will read any genre that you through at me, but ones that especially shout out to me are ones to mystery solving/suspicion, and this one seems to have that!

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how cute this backpack is? I know I've already included a bag in my wishlist, but look at it? I found it whilst searching through ASOS and instantly fell in love.

Now onto the boot that I have wanted for quite some time. I previously got a pair of boots from New Look, and I noticed that they have a lot of black boot style shoes, and they are really in fashion right now, so when I noticed some of my friends wearing these kind of black boots, I knew I needed them in my life!

With Christmas approaching soon, I find I need more darkness on my face, and the amazing things I've heard about this Bronzing powder. I already know how good the brand `Bourjois` is, and I would really like to try there products. It also has a chocolate theme to it, which is so unique and I am inspired by the originality of the product. The price is only round £7.99, which is fabulous!

I hope you enjoyed this little November wishlist I hope to do one of these each couple of months, and update you if I actually invest in these things!

Social Saturday #1 - Insecurities

Hello all and you may be asking "What is this? Where is the Friday post?" I have decided to switch things up a bit, because every Friday, it was the same thing each week, and I wanted to do something different for a change (and if I felt that way, I'm sure you did.)

Every fortnight I will do a "Social Saturday", where I will chat about problems, theories, the news, my life and general chats about motivation & more! I'm going to be getting right into my first post (how exciting!) and I hope you enjoy!

"Insecurities"

We all have them, whether we choose to show it or not. It could be our weight, figure, legs, face and sometime everything. Fortunately, we can control  insecurities, but it's not always easy, but i'm going to try to give you some helpful tips on doing so. These feeling emerge round the time you are 13 (teenage years), probably because of all the hormones raging in the body. We all go through it at a certain time in our lives, i'm in the worse stage now, but i'm ready to fight it, and so should you!

My first tip is to accept that no one is perfect. It may seem like a bad thing to be accepting it, but when you do, you feel better. Your thighs may not be the way they want them to be, or your stomach, but no one is `the perfect human being.`

Ask yourself questions. Whenever an insecure thought comes into your mind, ask yourself these questions: Do these thoughts have a foundation? Will they matter later on in life? Am i actually polluting my mind by thinking this way? By doing this you are moving past them and by asking yourself these questionings your are letting go of these bad feelings.

Find a way to solve it. If there is a way that you can solve the core of the problem, then don't waste anytime! Start going to the gym, or start daily workouts or other little things. It may take some time, but if it helps to make you feel better in our body, then do it!

So this is the end of my first Social Saturday and i hope you found these little tips helpful! I will try to do one of these every fortnight, and still do my Friday Favorite every couple of weeks!

The Lip Product I've Been Loving | Autumn

Hello all and welcome back to another Wednesday post. Today i'm going to be sharing with you some of the colours I've been wearing round this time of the year.

Autumn is a time for the dark colours because of the lead up to Winter, and personally i love the new fashion and beauty trends that emerge on the months before Winter, so i'll get right to it!

My first lip product i have been known to be using the colour red a lot, with my lips, so when i digged up my "Calvin Klein Lip Stain." I have no clue how long I've had this for, but from what i know its been a while, apart from the age of it, it still does its job well, and it doesn't get that weird smell which they usually get when kept for a long time.

The texture is very thick, that's why i called it a Stain, but you called also call it a liqueur, but it really does keep the colour on your lips for many hours.

It has an extremely rich shade, and it goes perfectly with the cold vibes of this season. It is much darker than i would usually go for, but the dark red really does go with them cosy jumpers and leggings. It could also work when you're going out for a meal, its that kind of all rounder.

This lip stain is all about `going out there` and this Autumn-Christmas i'm going to try to wear this more often, so i recommended you do it too!

Friday Favorite #11

Hello all! I hope you all had a fun and safe bonfire night, because i did! Now on to the post, recently i have been super stressed, so i thought in this Friday Favorite i wanted to do something that has helped to...relax me.

I have chosen the "OH, LOLA! Marc Jacobs - Fresh Shower Gel," which I've had since Christmas, but I've only just started using it, "Save the best till last." I got it as a gift, and i instantly fell in love with it, it is a fruity burst of amazingness, but also has a hint of musc, which gives it a fair amount of smells, so it isn't sickly.

Marc Jacobs, if you didn't already know, is a very successful brand, which does things like: bags, clothes, perfumes and toiletries. Overall, it is such a lovely group of products, but the price may not be in my reach (for now) but i can still observe the beauty to the clothes and the lush smells!

The shower gel is £23.00, which i know is quite a bit for a shower gel, but it really is delish! There are, of course, cheaper version like the "I Love..." collection and many more which are round £3-£5, which i also have, and they have some amazing smells too (Body Shop is a good one too!)

I would definitely buy the fragrance, and anything from Marc Jacobs is a great Christmas present for family and friends!

Hope you all liked reading this and i may be starting a new series in the next couple of weeks, so look out!

DIY: 3 Healthy Desserts | Autumn 2014

Hello all, for todays post i thought i would do something a little different. I haven't done a food post in quite a while, so what better time to do it than now! With the cold weather drawing in, i think we deserve some nice comforting desserts, that are yummy and healthy! By the way Happy Bonfire Night, i always love a good treat on this one occasion(especially the first) so read away!

My first dessert is ...
Roasted Banana's
Ingredients:
  • 1 medium ripe banana, cut in half lengthwise
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon
  • Granola
  • Low Fat Yogurt
Method:

- First you want to preheat your oven to 400 Degrees, then peel your bananas.

- Arrange your banana in an oven safe dish, or tin foil and sprinkle the cinnamon onto it (adds to the taste)

- Then you want to cover it up and bake it for 10 to 15 minutes, depending on how soft you like them.

- Lastly, take them out the oven and wait for them to cool, place them on a plate and put a spoonful of the Low Fat Yogurt on top with the Granola.

TIP: YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE GRANOLA+YOGURT AT THE END, YOU COULD USE RAISINS, FRUIT, CHOPPED NUTS OR (FOR A LITTLE BIT OF AN UN-HEALTHIER APPROACH) ICE CREAM!

My second desert is...
Almond Crescent Cookies
Ingredients:
  • 1/3 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup whole almonds, finely grounded
  • 5 ounces (10 tablespoons) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups plus 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
Method:

1. Beat all of the ingredients (apart from the powdered sugar) for about 2 minutes. Then you want to let the batter rest for about two hours.

2. Next, preheat the oven to 325 degrees and ,when the dough has rested for a couple of minutes,  roll 1 tablespoon of dough into a crescent shape, do this for the rest of the dough. Then you want to place the cresnet shapes onto the baking sheet.

3. Bake until they are golden brown (25-30 minutes) and when they are done, cool on the trays for 10 minutes and roll the cookies in the powdered sugar.

TIP: YOU CAN ROLL IT IN VANILLA SUGAR FOR A DIFFERENT FLAVOUR AT THE END.

My last dessert is...
Single Serving - Vegan Banana Bread
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 Banana
  • 2 Tablespoons whole- wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon organic sugar
  • 1/8 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/8 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon dairy free chocolate chips (it can just be normal ones too)
  • 1 teaspoon of walnuts
Method:

1. Mash the banana in a small bowl and then add all the ingredients to that bowl (apart from the chocolate chips and walnuts.) Mix it well to create a smooth batter.

2. Mix some of the chocolate chips and walnuts in, if you want you can save some till the end for topping.

3. Then lightly spray a microwaveable friendly mug or bowl with cooking spray and pour in the batter. If you saved some, sprinkle over the top the chocolate chips and walnuts.

4. Microwave it for 70- 90 seconds until the batter has turned dry - dont overcook it though because it will turn chewy and tough.

5. Take it out of the microwave and leave it to cool for about a minute then eat!

TIP: YOU CAN USE RAISINS OR GRANOLA OVER THE TOP IF YOU WANT!

That is the end of my "DIY: 3 Healthy Desserts" post, i hope you use these lovely desserts because they are divine!
